History of the Sanlando Depression Glass Show

The Sanlando Depression Glass Show is held at the restored Sanford, Florida Civic Center.

Months before each show, the show promoters make several trips to antique shops and other glass shows distributing show cards, as well as, visiting dealers and shop owners.

When the doors opened, customers went in all directions. Some shopped the 27 dealers that had brought their best and most beautiful glass. Other customers made their way to the table of delicious snacks. Friday evening and throughout the weekend customers shopped and carried bags of treasures out to their cars. First time attendees, as well as, veterans commented on the beauty of the show.

Special guests attending the shows included authors Jim and Barbara Mauzy. Others often on hand include Fleur de Lys Healy, representing the National Cambridge Club, and Ron and Norma Hufford, Fostoria Glass Representatives.

In 2016, the Sanlando Depression Glass Show will be held on Jan. 23-24, currently promoted by Glen and Carolyn Robinson, and Larry and Brooke Newton.

Hourly door prizes will be given away throughout the show.
